Frankfurt Rhein-Main International Airport is located about 80 km from Heidelberg. On arrival at Frankfurt Airport, take the train or bus to Heidelberg Central Station (with or without change in Mannheim).

Heidelberg is connected directly (or via Mannheim, 10 minutes) to the ICE- and IC/EC-
Network (long-distance trains) of German Railways (Deutsche Bahn DB). Arrival is at
Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof (Central Station).
It is cheaper to buy the ticket in advance. The ticket saver fares (Sparpreis) is valid only on the trains and date specified on the ticket. The ticket non-saver fares (Flexpreis) is valid on every train on the date specified on the ticket (and the following day if exceeding 100 km).
In Germany, you can travel on a train even if all seats are already taken. This may be the
case at peak times (Friday afternoon or Sunday evening). In second class, the seat
reservation costs EUR 4.50 per passenger.
The ICE connection between Frankfurt(M) Flughafen Fernbf and Heidelberg Hbf takes 53 min and tickets cost 19,90 € (saver fare) or 25,00 € (non-saver fare/Flexpreis) in second

Heidelberg is connected directly to the long-distance coach network of Flixbus. Arrival is at Heidelberg Hauptbahnhof (Central Station). It is cheaper to buy the ticket in advance. Direct connections from Frankfurt Airport (P36, Terminal 1) to Heidelberg central train station takes 65 or 80 min. A ticket costs between approx. 6 to 18 € and is valid only on the trains and date specified on the ticket. There is no seat reservation. It is recommended that you arrive at your bus stop no later than 15 minutes before your departure time.

Because of the limited number of parking areas in the Neuenheimer Feld, it is
recommended to arrive by public transport.
Approaching Heidelberg on Autobahn A5 from Frankfurt or Karlsruhe, change to Autobahn A656 from direction Mannheim at the junction “Heidelberger Kreuz”. Continue on Autobahn A 656 to Heidelberg, which ends at the Heidelberg City limits.
As you enter the city of Heidelberg, follow the signs “Eberbach/HD-Wieblingen/Chirurgie”:
- Turn left at first traffic light, then right at second. Follow the curve at the next light.
Underpass the Neckar Bridge, continue Berliner Straße and turn left at Klaus-Tschira- Platz at the tram station “Bunsengymnasium”.
- On the right, you can access the underground parking at “Mathematikon”.
- Next to this building you can find the event location Im Neuenheimer Feld 230 (INF 230).
Take the north exit (Kurfürstenanlage) of the central station to the tram stop. Take tram
number 24 with terminus “Handschuhsheim Nord”, or tram number 21 with terminus “Hans-Thoma- Platz”. With both lines, leave at stop “Bunsenstraße” (second after the Neckar bridge). Cross the street to the left and walk into “Klaus-Tschira- Platz “. About 100 meters down the road, turn right and you will find the main entrance of “Im Neuenheimer Feld 230 (INF 230)” on your left.
